What's in a Name?

Welcome to Red Bear Cabin!

We love spending time outdoors and exploring new areas. We purchased Red Bear in January 2022 as a place for our family to enjoy and share with others wanting to explore the beautiful area that is Broken Bow.

When we bought the cabin, one of the first things we wanted to do was give it a name. We thought long and hard about what the name should be, but as many times as we tried to come up with something clever and catchy, we kept coming up empty. We decided to venture out to Grateful Head Pizza for lunch. And it was an exciting trip for us because it was snowing outside. Being from and living in Texas, we don't get to experience snow very often, so our boys were bundled up wearing jackets they never wear in Texas.

As we sat down and enjoyed our delicious slices of pizza, the boys started throwing out random cabin names and then it all clicked. Our youngest son was wearing a red jacket with a bear log on it. And because our cabin has a red roof and red doors, we took it as a sign and Red Bear Cabin was born! It was right there in front of us the whole time!
